Special Feeds

Dallas Industries has designed and built special feed systems to accurately index materials other than coil stock into press or forming machines. These special feeds have been designed and built for the following applications:

• A complete line of wire air feeds with two plane straighteners to handle from .062 to .625 coiled round wire. Wire feeds have also been adapted for hex and unique shapes of coil material.
  
• Bar air feeds for flat stock and special shapes such as rounds, angles and structural shapes.
  
• Feeds for multiple strips of coiled steel into a common forming tool.
  
• Tandem air feeds for in feed – out feed operations, available with either electronic or mechanical synchronization.
  
• Electronic servo driven in feed / out feeds are utilized for difficult to handle materials and for scrap removal.
  
• Several types of zig-zag feeds have been engineered and built for specific applications such as for 2 out, 3 out or other patterns of dual axis index feeding. These Designs include air only, air over electronic or dual axis electronic.
  
• Gag feeds with multiple step index programming have been developed for operations requiring tooling actuation upon completion of sequenced feed indexes.
